In the third, we discussed how Social links help rank your main website. Today we will explore how Social Assets help you to own Google Results.
Social Media Assets Occupy More Search Engine Results.
If you get your website in the top 3 spots on Google, you have something to celebrate! But how much better would it be if your business is in spot 1, spot 2, spot 3, spot 6, and spot 8? You OWN the first page of Google! That’s what social media can do for you.
Social Media Sites are Authority Sites
Youtube is an authority in Googles eyes. What would you expect? Google owns Youtube! For this reason, Youtube videos can rank very quickly. Speaking of Google aouthority sites, Google Places can also rank fast.
Facebook and Google have struck deals together. Facebook is the biggest contending website next to Google. A facebook profile page can definitely land itself on the first page as well. No need to stop here. Twitter and LinkedIn are not to be ignored either. There are many others as well. The more profiles you have out there, the more opportunities there are to capture that prime virtual real estate.
More SERP Positions Means More Calls
Position 1 on Google can get you 25% of the searches. Position 2 can get you 12%. If you have 4 or 5 spots taken on the first page of Google, you will get a majority of the clicks, just by filling these spots. It’s simply a matter of numbers. Either they will get the call or you will. Who’s in position?
More SERP Positions Means More Calls
How many of your competitors hold 3 or 4 of the positions on the first page of Google? Not many. The fact that you have your game together enough to capture this space tells people you are worth doing business with. You can make things happen. And they look forward to you helping them make things happen too!
Be committed to your Social Profiles
Just creating profiles on Youtube and Facebook will not automatically land them on Google. They have to have regular posts and user interaction. This will build their authority and rank them. It’s similar to how your rank you website on Google, but with a big kickstart by the domain they reside on. So be focused and committed. Make a plan on what you can commit to or have outsourced. It’s better to do two social media platforms right than six half-way.
